Relastionship and Couples Therapy

"If you ever get close to a human, and human behaviour, be ready, be ready to get confused." Bjork

Relationships are profound mirrors to our thought’s patterns and behaviours. They take many forms, shaped by our history, unconscious patterns outside of our awareness, and the experiences that have etched themselves into our stories. Each connection we form whether romantic, familial, or platonic carries within it the energy of what we know and, more importantly, what we have yet to understand about ourselves.

When you contact me, it’s often because something within your relationship isn’t sitting well. Perhaps there’s a vague disquiet, a recurring conflict, or a sense of disconnection that you can’t quite put into words. These “niggles,” as I like to call them, are your heart’s way of whispering (or shouting) that something needs to change. It’s a call to attention, to growth, and to the possibility of healing.

Working together, our work will delve into the deeper layers of what it means to be in relationship not just with others, but with yourself. My role is not to prescribe a one-size-fits-all solution but to serve as a guide and companion on your journey of discovery.

What Stories do you bring?

We are all guided by the narratives that live within us, many of which operate below the surface of conscious awareness. These stories influence how you communicate, how you attach, and how you respond to being in relationship. Together, we’ll explore the origins of these patterns: What did you learn about relationships growing up? What beliefs about love and connection do you carry? What unspoken wounds shape your interactions today?

Finding Your Voice

One of the most common challenges in relationships is the struggle to communicate, to express your truth and truly hear the truth of the other. Relationships inherently confront us with our own unfinished business. I offer a space where we can practice finding your voice, addressing what feels hard to speak, and creating a bridge of understanding with your partner.

Attuning to the Body’s Wisdom

Often, the tensions in your relationship are mirrored by tensions in your body, a tight chest, a clenched jaw, a gut feeling you’ve been ignoring. Together, we’ll learn to listen to these signals, understanding what they reveal about your needs, boundaries, and fears. Your body is a storyteller, often revealing truths that your conscious mind may not yet recognise. By tuning into these sensations, we begin to uncover the ways your emotional experiences and physical state are intertwined. This process isn’t just about identifying discomfort; it’s about learning to trust your body as a source of wisdom, to notice how it reacts in moments of conflict or connection, and to use those insights to foster deeper understanding and change.

I work with a wide range of relationships:

  • Romantic partnerships

  • Parent-child relationships (across all ages and stages of life)

  • Sibling relationships

  • Friendships (longstanding or newly developing)

  • Co-parenting relationships (after separation or divorce)

  • Professional relationships (colleagues, business partners, or supervisors)

  • Blended family dynamics

  • Extended family relationships (in-laws, grandparents, etc.)

Each relationship brings its unique challenges and opportunities for growth, and my role is to support you in navigating those with care, expertise, and respect.

Relationships are never static; they are living, evolving entities. They ask much of us: courage, vulnerability, and a willingness to grow. But in that asking, they also offer us the possibility of profound transformation not just as partners but as individuals.

If you’re here, it’s because something within you recognises the need for change. That recognition is the first step. We can explore what it means to step into a more conscious, compassionate, and fulfilling relationship with yourself, and with those you love.
